Lugenda Bush CampLugenda Bush Camp is located in the magnificent Lugenda Wildlife Reserve, in the Niassa province of Northern Mozambique. This reserve, along the Lugenda River amongst the Ngalongue Mountains, is a wonderful 42 000 square kilometer expanse of wildlife. There are several sacred sited on the Mecula Mountain, which is part of the Ngalongue Mountains, and Pigmy paintings dating back to 2000 BC.

The Lugenda Camp
is closed during the rainy season in the area and is only open from 1 June to 15 December.

• 8 luxury East-African style tents, 40m from the Lugenda River: 6 Kings & 2 Twins
• All tents are fully mosquito-screened and have an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, ceiling fans, hair dryer, safe, international plug points as well as a deck

Lugenda Wilderness Reserve is ideal for game drives, with each vehicle accommodating 4 people. Qualified guides lead the drives and game walks. It is a birders’ paradise and big game such as elephant, buffalo, hartebeest, eland and zebra abound. Other game such as impala, wildebeest, hippo, lion, leopard, warthogs and spotted hyena can also be seen.
