Vamizi Island Resort

Vamizi Island ResortVamizi Island Lodge, a 24 bed resort that overlooks Rongui, is built on the northern side of Vamizi Island, in Mozambique.

The lodge has been constructed to blend in to the environment and to create as little environmental impact as possible. Vamizi, in the Quirambas Archipelago, was constructed almost entirely of indigenous materials, therefore helping the local.

The center of the island is where you can find the ten thatched beach houses; each has its own airy living room, bathroom and breezy porch. Each house is secluded and looks out over the Indian Ocean.

The weight of Vamizi Island Lodge is on the space, openness and freedom, with large rooms and high ceilings. The bathrooms have a solid slab of marble that forms the wall of the shower, and hand-carved screens which provide seclusion.
